Prévert, one of France’s best loved poets, came to London in the fifties with Photographer Izis. The result was a book of poems on London, illustrated by Izis’ photographs. But after publication Prévert ‘tampered’ with the photographs, adding his own collages for his daughter. This very private book, printed from the original ‘graffitti’ copy intended to charm a little girl, has only recently been published in France for general pleasure.more |
