The Cheltenham Literature Festival is to become the first of its kind to host world premieres every year. Each October will see Cheltenham become the place to hear brand new writing that’s been especially commissioned from some of the world’s best authors.

The Edinburgh International Book Festival began in 1983 and is now a key event in the August Festival season, celebrated annually in Scotland´s capital city. Biennial at first, the Book Festival became a yearly celebration in 1997.

Novelists, biographers, historians, poets, critics, politicians, soldiers, public servants, scientists, and medics will be joined by artists, philosophers, theologians, architects, engineers, botanists, environmentalists and children's writers. The Oxford Literary Festival is widely acclaimed for its stimulating and provocative programme and the quality and fearlessness of its debates.
